This is a flexible E-Ink display HAT for Raspberry Pi, 2.13inch, 212x104 resolution, with embedded controller, communicating via SPI interface, supports partial refresh.
Compared with normal e-Paper panels, this flexible panel allows bending without being damaged, and it's thinner and lighter.
Combined with the advantages like ultra low power consumption, wide viewing angle, clear display without electricity, it is an ideal choice for applications where curved surface display is required, such as industrial instruments, smart wearable-devices, and so on.

No backlight keeps displaying last content for an extended time even when power down Ultra-low power consumption, basically power is merely required for refreshing Compatible with Raspberry Pi 2B/3B/Zero/Zero W Preserved solder pads for SPI interface, for connecting with other controller boards like Arduino/Nucleon, etc.
This product is an E-paper device adopting the image display technology of Microencapsulated Electrophoretic Display, MED. The initial approach is to make tiny spheres, during which the charged colour pigments are suspending within the transparent oil and would move counting on the electronic charge. The E-paper screen display patterns by reflecting the ambient light, so it's no background light requirement. (Note that the e-Paper cannot support updating directly under sunlight).

The ePaper display has embedded controller, communicating via SPI interface. One fantastic aspect of the ePaper display is that the fact they do not need any power to stay the image on the screen. Just like a Kindle, you'll read whatever is on your screen in daylight with none reflection. It comes with SSD1675A controller, compact size (COG package),high contrast, sun readable,FPC connection, optional FPC connector. It supports 3/4-wire serial interface. It has 3 colour display, with a full refresh time of 2 seconds.
